CASC supports the Sudanese refugees in Egypt
There are 800,000 refugees and asylum-seekers registered with UNHCR in Egypt; the Sudanese are the largest group.
Since the outbreak of the conflict in Sudan and the influx of refugees from Sudan to Egypt, CASC has provided immediate, multi-sectoral assistance to people from Sudan.
CASC interventions in 2024:
- Distributed food items to 1,000 families.
- Distributed non-food items, including providing furniture and kitchenware to 174 families, clothing distribution to 98 families, and providing calculators for 900 children.
- Conducting psychological support awareness sessions for 920 families.
